Sant Cugat with the Sahrawi People (SCAPS) develops humanitarian assistance projects and cooperation programs with the Sahrawi people, currently in exile in the Tindouf Refugee Camps (Algeria), as well as awareness projects to raise awareness of the reality of this people in exile.
The main project, in Sant Cugat, is the reception center for sick Sahrawi children to guarantee them the appropriate medical treatments and that once cured they can return with their families. They also take part in the Colonies in Peace project, which welcomes Sahrawi children into families during the months of July and August. They also cooperate with the nursery school of the Daira de l’Aargub ensuring a daily meal to their students and provide school supplies to the primary school of Aargub.
