For refugees, being part of a shared household can be a decisive moment on the way to their full autonomy. Living with people who know the environment is the best way to become part of a community and quickly learn the social and cultural context of the host country. The new roommate can help the refugee easily create a social network, improve language skills or invest in their life project. Goals like re-starting studies or finding a job are much easier with a local person by your side.
You can be a Welcome Culture activist in many ways:
Being part of the local teams:
– As a local link, facilitating coexistence between
local and displaced people.
– Sharing your professional skills with the project: You know photography, wordpress, CRM, social networks, graphic design, event organization, working with people
vulnerable, writing projects, languages or video?
Founding or strengthening a local group of Refugees.
