Unipau Summer Course: THE THREADS THAT MOVE CONFLICTS

This year marks the 30th Summer Course of the International University of Peace (UniPau), from 9 to 15 July, at the Center Borja in Sant Cugat del Vallès

This edition will be dedicated to reflecting and delving into the origins of the different conflicts in the world. The analysis will revolve around the war for natural resources, motivations for identity conflicts or the role of humanitarian aid, among others.

Adolfo Pérez Esquivel , the Nobel Peace Prize winner, will give the inaugural lecture on Thursday, July 9, at 7 p.m. The next day there will be a talk by Susan George, Associate Director of the Transnational Institute , president of the Globalization Observatory and vice president of the association Attack , who will talk about ‘The conflicts that will accompany climate change’.

The last day of the course will take place on Wednesday 15 July with presentations on conflict management, where proposals will be put on the table to end them.
