The 23rd edition of La Marató de TV3 will take place next Sunday, December 14 and will be dedicated to heart disease. Although the 1995 and 2007 editions of TV3’s La Marató were already the focus, the fact that it continues to be one of the main causes of death in the world and also in Catalonia has meant that the theme is repeated once again .
It will be 15 hours of live broadcast to disseminate and raise awareness about heart diseases with the aim of raising funds to launch new research projects in this field.
Volunteers are one of the essential axes of TV3’s La Marató. Their time and dedication throughout the 15 hours of the program make it possible to receive thousands of donations and the operation of their telephone offices.
Every year, around 2,400 volunteers, representatives of voluntary associations in the country, trained and coordinated by the Department of Social Welfare and Family, collaborate with La Marató de TV3.
