Do you want to collaborate in the 8th Drug Collection Day?
As has been the case for the last 8 years, the Drug Collection Day, coordinated by the Pharmaceutical Bank, will be held on 14 February.
This year’s goal is to collect more than 30,000 drugs requested by 105 healthcare organizations. To achieve this, about 500 pharmacies in different parts of the state will allow collection in their establishments from 9 am to 2 pm.
How it works?
• Each of the almost 100 collaborating healthcare entities draws up a list with the forecast of medicines they will need for a year.
• The Pharmaceutical Bank assigns each of the lists of healthcare entities to one or more participating pharmacies, following a criterion of proximity.
• Each pharmacy receives the list with the medicines requested by the entity, informative material and vests by the volunteers.
• On the day of the Collection Day, Pharmaceutical Bank volunteers invite citizens who enter the pharmacy to participate by buying some medicine from the list.
• During the following week, the healthcare institutions start collecting the medicines collected by the assigned pharmacies.
How can you participate?
• You can volunteer for one-off action, only for the day, or for continuous action.
• You can register your pharmacy as a medicine collection center.
• You can buy and give some medicine at the pharmacy on the day of the Conference, February 14th.
