Who are we:
CAU AMIC is an association, a group of animal friends, that voluntarily and altruistically gives help and temporary shelter to abandoned or lost pets that need it, always in order to find for them a home where they can want and receive the treatment and affection they deserve. Our structure is based exclusively on volunteering, people who selflessly give their time and affection to our animals. Although there are still few volunteers they have been organized quite well and hope that more people will want to participate in this great adventure which is the protection of animals. They are basically structured as follows:
Walking group:
The goal is that every day animals receive the affection and attention they need, learn to walk and share leisure time with humans. Many of the animals have had bad experiences with humans, and the goal is for them to trust again.
Adoption group:
They are responsible for managing all adoptions, assessing which animal is most suitable for the future adopter and monitoring the adoption.
Communication group:
Through the website, by e-mail or the media, they communicate to partners, volunteers and anyone interested, the activities they carry out, and spread the importance of responsible adoption, as well as the need for sterilization.
The Board:
Like any legally constituted association, they have statutes and a management board formed by: President ROSE MARIE MARQUÈS. Vice President ANGELA BALCELLS. Treasurer FRANCISCO CUMELLAS. Secretary MONTSERRAT ROURA.
When CAU AMIC was formed as an Animal Protection Association, it was defined with the following words “It is the will of CAU AMIC to give a service to animals, Companions of man, who give us their affection for free. We want to contribute to the development of man as a human being, which necessarily involves the development of respect for Nature and the Creation of Life. For this reason, we want to take care of Nature and the Life of animals, and protect it for to improve it every day to the extent of our possibilities of work and influence. “(March 1, 1996)
They do not want to forget to thank wholeheartedly all the partners, companies and anonymous people who put their grain of sand with financial or in-kind contributions, which allow them to cover the costs of veterinarians, medicines and food.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH!
As an Animal Protection Association, they receive annual aid from the local administrations, Sant Cugat del Vallès City Council and Valldoreix Decentralized Municipal Entity. They still have a long way to go, but with your help they will ensure that each animal has a home where it is loved and can live with affection and protection.
